SUPPOSED LEAK

Saturday, July 31st, 2010

There has been a lot of activity online in recent days about a new book to be launched at KIDSHAPER this year.
While it is correct that for the first time ever KIDSHAPER will release a book that will be given away to the first 1000 full time delegates valued at $40.00.

There remains dispute over whether the picture in question is of the 2010 international TASTE cook book featuring copious amounts of information and articles from numerous international CM contributors. We can confirm that this is a resource that will become a valuable tool in the pursuit to minister to children. The image does appear to be photoshopped, I mean I’m a lot thinner than the picture in question.

NEW MINI PROJECTORS

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

We are very excited about this!

Have you ever had the dilemma where you have heaps of different rooms at your Kid’s Church and really need to have some kind of visuals in all of them but don’t have the thousands of dollars to spend on projectors? Audio and Visual gear can easily cost lots of money, and many times we can’t justify the benefits versus the cost of making it happen.

Well, recently, one of the guys in our Planetkids team approached us with a solution – a mini projector. As you can see above, this nifty little unit is probably the most portable visual device I have ever seen. Around-a-bout the size of a Bible, we are putting these mini projectors in all of our early childhood rooms and primary rooms so that everyone has the benefits that a full visual system brings, for a fraction of the cost. I’m talking less than 500 bucks each!

Not only are these things cheap, but they have all of the inputs that a normal projector has: it connects to your laptop as per normal and even has a built in speaker (as well as an audio out plug if you have your own speakers). But not only that, but it has built in memory and a SD card slot so that you can transfer photos and videos directly onto the projector. How good is that? We loaded up our RAW files disc from 4 onto there and were able to run our curriculum without any computers plugged into the projector.

Because it uses LEDs instead of a globe, it runs at a really low temperature, and does not require globe replacements like traditional projectors do.

We love it! Look out for them soon when they are released! We will post links to shops when they become available.

4 on Saying NO to Temptation Released!

Friday, May 14th, 2010

We are VERY excited! Our latest 4 module, ‘4 on Saying NO to Temptation’ is available now @ http://www.4store.com.au/4store/ !

One of the most valuable things that we can teach our kids is how to respond to temptation. 4 on Saying No to Temptation! teaches the 4 R’s – Recognize it, Resist it, Run from it and Repeat it – that will equip children to understand what temptation is and how they can overcome it.

Week 1: Recognize It
This week, Rob takes us back to Adam and Eve and shows us where temptation comes from and how to recognize it.
Pulse: Temptation is something I’ve seen before, so I’ll recognize it and shut the door.
Week 2: Resist It
Jen brings the word this week and reminds us of how David was able to resist temptation when Saul was chasing him.
Pulse: Prayer is an action that stops the attraction
Week 3: Run From It
This week, Paul shares with us about how a mighty man of God had to run away from temptation at Potiphar’s house.
Pulse: Temptation wants to talk to you, but only about the fun. But you know you’ll only get in trouble, so get out of there, RUN!
Week 4: Repeat It
Rob walks us through all of the ways that the enemy tempted Jesus in the desert. He shows us how, through scripture, Jesus was able to resist.
Pulse: Sin wants to make you weak, like a little kitten. Next time you are tempted, repeat ‘it is written.’
